My white card has been brayered with a pale yellow ink first and then a post it note sun was added. Varying shades of red and orange inks were then brayerd to give a graduating effect and the post it note mask was removed before the black foliage was stamped - a little black ink was sponged around the edges and the bottom to finish it off.
This effect can also be achieved through sponging or using a large soft brush and there are lots of tutorials to be found on Youtube and Google. You may want to start with Michelle Zindorf as I used her tutorials as inspiration for both my cards this week.
I hope this has inspired you to take part this week - details of the challenge can be found by clicking the 'challenges' button in the side bar.
A great piece of brayer work and the colours work really well. As you say a great technique with many variations.
ReplyDeleteStunning card!! That brayered background looks fantastic and the flower silhouette really pops. Love the way you have finished the card too, great make!!
