Hi everyone it's Suzi here with mid week motivation. I used Graphic 45 steampunk papers, Dezinaworld digis (butterflies) and a cupcake holder. I hope you join us with this fun theme. I've given you some Steampunk definitions, there are loads, I tried to find the ones suitable for crafters! but my time was limited :)
To help you understand the world of Steampunk think
all things Victorian, steam power, cogs and wheels, whimsy, romance,
science fiction, lace, leather etc etc. use lots of imagination and have fun!
This is a fabulous Sreampunk digi image from June of Dezinworld fame, printed onto glossy photo paper and cut out.
The white butterlies have been cut from a cupcake holder. I cut off
the bottom of the "skirt" from the main image off the gorgeous Steampunk
lady, then repositioned it so that it peeped from under the flowery
frame

Steampunk is an aesthic and a subculture based around the idea of
alternative history and fantasy versions of the past. It is
Victorian-inspired and influenced, with a heavy emphasis on clockwork
gadgets, steam power, airships and other steam-age technologies, all
with a science fiction twist. Steampunk costumes and accessories tend to
include Victorian-style items such as top hats or corsets, along with
lots of straps, goggles, leather and brass -- and the ever-present
clockwork.
