Colour Wheel Challenge - Week 5 Split Complimentary Colours

Before Mynnette launches her final challenge of the month I have a few announcements: MMM will be taking a break and having August off, the last challenge will stay open throughout August and the top 3 and overall monthly winner will be announced with the first week of September.
We are also saying a sad goodbye to one of out founder dt members - Suzanne and I would like to thank her for all the time she has spent with us and wish her well for the future - a link will remain for her blog in the side bar so please do continue to visit her and all her amazing creations.
Thank you to my team - this break is because of some personal issues I am experiencing and they have made things so much easier for me to do this - they are all stars - please visit their wonderful blogs and see their amazing creations - over to you Mynnette.

Hello friends and welcome to the fifth and final week of the Make My Monday color wheel challenges.  This week we're focusing on a trio of colors known as SPLIT COMPLIMENTARY COLORS.

Split complimentary colors are fun to play with.  You start with one color, find its compliment and instead of using the compliment, use the two colors beside the compliment.  Mynnette has chosen the split complimentary color scheme of fuscia, green, and yellow for you to create with this week.  White and cream are your acceptable neutrals again! You may stamp lined images and sentiments in either black or brown, but solid images should be stamped in fuscia, green, and/or yellow.

We have a fabulous monthly sponsor for one lucky participant~

Priyanka from My Heart Pieces is offering 3 digis of choice to the July monthly winner. The DT were very generously given 5 digis to uses for these challenges and you will see them throughout the month!

Here is some inspiration from the DT~

MMM - Mid-week Motivation - Light Blue, Dark Blue and Turquoise

There's still over 3 days left to take part in this week's colour Wheel challenge - there's a link in the side bar (top right) that will take you to see all the details and the lovely work done by my fabulous dt.
If you need any more inspiration take a look at this card I have made to show you

This is a Double Dutch Fold card - please don't ask why it's called that but if you hop on over to Splitcoast Stampers there is a section in their resources tab that will show you how to make one.
Here's how it opens

Hope this will inspire you to have a go!

We're back in a fourth week at Make My Monday with a focus on the color wheel!  This week our main focus is on ANALOGOUS COLORS.

Analogous colors are colors that sit in a group of three right next to each other on the color wheel.  We usually use these combinations when doing monochromatic artwork.  This week we are focusing on blues and Mynnette would like to see creations using turquoise, light blue, and dark blue with white or cream as your neutrals. You may stamp lined images and sentiments in either black or brown, but solid images should be stamped in one of the three blues.

MMM - Mid-week Motivation - Yellow and Purple

Mid-week Motivation is brought to you this week by the colours Yellow and Purple and I have made this quick and easy Easel Card to show you

This is a card that can be made using most nesting dies and a die cutting machine such as a Big Shot or Cuttlebug - all you have to do is make sure that part of the die overlaps the fold of your card then just carry on and make the easel shape as normal. One of my die cuts was put through the Cuttlebug a second time in a Swiss Dots embossing folder. A little bling was added as a finishing touch.
Details of this week's challenge can be found HERE if you want to have a go too.
