Pink and Black - More Inspiration

Thanks to those who have already taken part in my challenge this week for Pink and Black, I am now hoping I can inspire a few more mid week to take part. I made a simple card for we don't always choose the most elaborate cards in the Top 3. I have only used two pattern papers, instead of flowers I added a rosette, which is easily made by making concertina folds then joining each end with tape. I flattened the rosette then  adhered it  to a punched circle, punched out a second stamped circle then adhered this to the top.
This is a close up of Jasmine - Feathers from Crafty Sentiments, I love her, she has such a flirty attitude. Reminds me of someone I used to be!! LOL  I used Promarkers to colour her. Hoping to see a few more enter into our challenge but please remember ladies, girls and maybe guys, have fun.

Mid Week Motivation - Ribbon & Buttons

Good morning folks, it's Fliss here today with hopefully a bit of inspiration to encourage you to enter my challenge theme if you haven't yet done so.
I decided to make a flowery creation with my recently rediscovered Twinkling H20 paints which I used to paint the flowers although you might not be able to see the lovely pearly shimmer in the photo.

I made the background paper by layer stamping a flourish from an elderly Impression Obsession clear set also recently discovered - can you tell I've been having a bit of a clear out lol. I stamped my chosen flourish with Adirondack Aqua and Pink Sherbet having first inked the card with Milled Lavender Distress ink.
I stamped the flowers (Crafty Individuals) with Memories Artprint Brown and painted them with the H20 paints - English Lavender, Northern Lights and Gold Dust. I cut them out and embossed the reverse with a large embossing ball tool. I stamped the leaves (also Crafty Individuals) with VersaFine Spanish Moss and cut these out.
I embossed a die cut heart (Papermania) with the Cuttlebug Victoria folder and then made a little faux button with a Nestabilities blossom die, embossed with the same folder and pierced holes with a pokey tool.
I assembled the card with some pretty polka dot ribbon and added a sentiment (Hobby Art) stamped on a scrap of card left over from my Monday class demo (a flourish from the same set over card coloured with pastel pencils - more on this technique soon)

So there you have it and I'm sure like me you're now longing for Spring!

Ribbon & Buttons

Good morning everyone and welcome to another week here at Make My Monday!  It's Fliss here with your theme for the week and I chose RIBBONS AND BUTTONS as there are lots of different ways to include these on your projects.  Please make sure to use BOTH or you won't be eligible for the Top 3 honours.

Flower Meadow

Good morning dear friends... it's Wednesday so time for MWM ... and to be honest I've been so busy this week especially today I nearly forgot!! So this is a quick MWM make, using Pink Petticoats new digital papers... Isabelline

I printed one A4 for the dandelion  DP and one A5 for the cut outs which gave depth. i kept it light ... I was tempted to edge the cutouts with black. I also printed an A4 of the Delicate Doilies DP. I cut out two layers of one or two of the doilies in differing sizes, edged and swooshed front and back with DI Squeezed lemonade. Added buttons, tut tut no thread! some tiny black and yellow pearls..a bee and a Pink Petticoat greetings strip onto black ribbon .... voila...
A bee in a flower meadow

I just want to remind you about the DT call, it's running for two weeks so that gives you lots of time. We are a lovely, friendly, supportive bunch of crafters... there is never any pressure.... so come on join us, you ll enjoy it! I was full of trepidation when I was invited to join.... but I love it and I love seeing every ones differing interpretation of each weeks challenge.

Literary Inspiration

Hello, all!  Mynnette here with your weekly Make My Monday challenge! This week I've chosen a book cover of one of my favorite books--Persuasion by Jane Austen.  I would like you to be inspired by the cover, the book, or both!

*****PLEASE MAKE SURE TO MENTION IN YOUR
POST HOW YOU WERE INSPIRED BY THIS CHALLENGE.****

Here is the book cover for your inspiration~

A little about this book: This classic was written in the early nineteenth century by Jane Austen.  The main character is Anne Elliot.  Anne has previously been wealthy, but her father and sister have wasted their fortune after her mother passed away.  She has also previously found true love.  She rejected it because the man was a lowly and poor sailor and Anne was counseled by a trusted mother figure not to marry him.  BUT, he's BACK and has made a fortune in the war against Napoleon.  Now her family thinks him a sort of catch--she's the only genuine person in a group of snobs.  She knows she made a mistake and has faithfully loved him the past 8 years.  But now she's a "spinster" at the old age of 27.  Will she and Captain Wentworth finally be able to be together?  I won't tell.  You'll have to read it! ;)

And now some inspiration by the DT~
